You were mis – sold. Approach your bank first and complain under their complaints policy. If you get no joy pass it to the FSA.

There was no income to cover – insist on all your payments including interest back and the remainder of the policy cancelled.

This happened to my ex’s mother and she got it all back.

Go to CAB. You cannot reclaim it from them and they will not attempt it for you. They will however give you good advice and help you to make the right actions. This sounds like a real case of mis- selling as you clearly should not have a loan and the protection insurance appears to be mis sold to get the commission that it would pay.

Hello, you need to speak to the FSA. Alot has been going on with mis-sale. When you took out this loan was it face to face or over the phone? If it was over the phone then all calls were recorded therefore FSA can get involved. However as you are not employeed i dont think you fit the criteria. What you need to do is go through all the docs, speak to the FSA as if you would not be covered you will be refunded everything you have paid into this and the policy will be cancelled. Good Luck xox

Loan Protection…misled?
Two years ago, i took out a loan with a high street bank, i was not, and am still not in employment . I am a full time carer for 2 family members, been with my bank for a good number of years, etc. I applied for a loan, and got it….but i had to take out loan protection to secure the decision, of course, all verbal!! Did i need loan protection as i was not in employment, if this is the case of mis-selling, is there an EASY way of reclaiming it e.g. through citizens advice?? Would be grateful for any HELPFUL information. Many Thanks
